Backstage Parent Helpers

Want to see the "behind-the-scenes" magic? We’re looking for a few extra hands to support our staff in keeping things fun and organized for our dancers.

The Role

Most volunteers work with our dancers aged 6 and under. Your main goal is to help our team create a smooth, stress-free experience:

• Dressing Room Support: Hang out with the kids, assist with provided activities, and hand out water.

• Dancer Prep: Assist studio staff in getting dancers stage-ready (adjusting costumes, hair accessories, and logistics).

• Stage Escorts: Help our team walk groups of dancers to and from the stage.

Important Details

• The Vibe: High energy and busy! This is an unpaid, "working" role.

• The View: You will stay backstage the whole time. Volunteers will not be able to watch the performance from the audience.

• Background Check: We will run background checks for all volunteers to ensure student safety.

• Volunteer Requirements: Due to the nature of our dressing room layouts and privacy for our dancers, we are seeking female volunteers only for these positions at this time.

Please do not feel obligated to volunteer. Our recitals are special for the dancers, and having their parents in the audience makes it even more special. However, if you’ve watched a few shows and are ready to experience the backstage buzz—or you are more excited about watching the magic from behind the scenes than in the audience—this is for you!
